Coffee is one of the most widely consumed beverages globally, enjoyed in nearly every country. It is also considered one of the most valuable traded commodities in the world. The processing of coffee primarily follows two methods: solubilization and freeze-drying.
Solubilization involves concentrating and drying coffee beans before converting them into a soluble form. However, this process can diminish the natural flavors and aromas, often requiring artificial additives to restore the lost sensory qualities.
In contrast, freeze-drying maintains the coffee’s original taste and aroma. The process begins by freezing the beans at approximately -45oC. Once frozen, they are placed in a vacuum chamber, where water is removed through sublimation—transitioning directly from solid to gas without passing through the liquid stage. This method preserves the coffee’s rich flavor profile and aromatic depth.
Beyond its superior taste, freeze-dried coffee also offers health benefits. It contains phytosterols, which help reduce cholesterol absorption in the intestine, and is rich in amino acids that support protein synthesis and enhance physical endurance. Additionally, it functions as a metabolic stimulant, contributing to digestive and cardiovascular health.
Tivis Commodity’s freeze-dried coffee, cultivated and processed in the heart of India, is distinguished by its outstanding quality. The high-altitude terrain and nutrient-rich soil create ideal conditions for growing premium Arabica beans, renowned for their exceptional flavor and global recognition.
